“0 days without” meme: meaning and free template

What it means

Many factories and construction sites have a sign counting the days since the last accident. When one happens, the counter goes back to zero. The meme applies that to anything that keeps happening: the sign says “DAYS WITHOUT”, the number is at 0, and a character is replacing it… with another 0.

You write whatever just happened again. The message: not one single day without this. It’s perfect for group habits, recurring topics and disasters everyone saw coming.

Where it comes from

It comes from the real workplace safety sign, which pop culture has been parodying for decades; The Simpsons, for instance, shows a days-without-accident sign at the nuclear plant. The image in this template is a cartoon frame in that instantly recognizable yellow style, cropped to leave the gap on the sign free.

How to use it well

• Finish the sentence. The sign already says “days without”: your caption is what comes next (“talking about football”, “losing my keys”).
• Make it something that genuinely repeats. The more obvious it is to the group, the better.
• Post it right after it happens. It’s a reaction meme: someone brings up the topic again and the sign drops into the chat.
• Very short. The gap fits two or three big words.
